ABOUT THE KIDS MAY-JUNE08

QUINN is now potty-trained! After "no more diaper day", he's had a relatively easy transition to big kid underwear and all that entails. More money in the budget and no more poopy diapers - needless to say, we are thrilled. Quinn also just turned three on July 8. We had a very small celebration but he had a great time! Apparently Quinn really liked wearing the tuxedo at Andi's wedding and refused to take the jacket off. He's finally getting the hang of colors - we were a bit worried about him being color-blind for a while! Now he has to have everything blue. Quinn refused to stay in the nursery with Alex for Vacation Bible School, so he became part of the group too (and did really well keeping up with the "big" kids).

ELENA is having fun at swim class. She wasn't progressing much in group lessons, but is doing really well in private lessons with one friend. She finished off the year at preshool and is really excited about kindergarten in the Fall. Elena is now Allyson's shadow. She wants to know where Allyson is at all times, even if it's just in the next room! Elena is doing a great job teaching Quinn how to play on WebKinz now that he has his own animal. We had a great time at Vacation Bible School in June at our church. Allyson was a group leader for the week and Elena was in the preschool group.

ALEX is starting into his "terrible twos" now, but in a pretty cute way. Mostly by getting dramatic like his brother and throwing things when he's mad. He's discovering his sense of humor and is making us laugh every day. He's very coordinated and can spin, run, jump, leap and dance well, but still walks like a drunken sailor. Alex is very good at quoting movies, especially our latest favorite, Veggie Tales. He'll be turning 2 August 8, which is good, since he has been telling everyone he's two since he could talk.
