We just got back from a week at Mike's parents' timeshare in North Myrtle Beach. The weather was fantastic - effects of the hurricane didn't roll in until after we left, and there were few people there after Labor Day.Quinn freaked out at first because he didn't like sand on his hands and feet--he also started screaming "big wave big wave!" every time a wave came in on the first day. After a few days and after finding some birds to chase, he was fine. Elena really improved her swimming skills and even was able to swim underwater without holding her nose. She also loved searching the beach for seashells with dad early in the morning. Alex just barreled ahead into the ocean, beach, pool, mini golf course, elevator, room, etc. He was so excited, he didn't want to sleep, so Allyson took him in an innertube on the "lazy river" and he finally fell asleep as they floated around and around-for over an hour--every day for three days.
