HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy 2008! We had a great Christmas and New Year's - not doing much, but getting to spend a lot of time together with family and friends.

Mike's leg is much better - the doctors are impressed with how quickly he has healed and his range of motion. He's completely out of the boot and in normal shoes. He's limping slightly and his ankle has been swelling at the end of the day, but he's generally back to walking around with no problem.

Allyson/Paper Moon Greetings has been accepted to show at WITAN's French Market on Feb. 22-23. It's at Todaro's party center in Akron (in the valley) Fri and Sat. It's actually a good show as far as having a fun day out, great lunch and a really good selection of items for sale. They also have really good deals on plants (especially toward the end of Saturday). The food there is EXCELLENT - a friend of ours from our old church in Akron, Becky Kemp, was in charge last year and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. Having been to a lot of shows, the quality of the vendors is better than many other shows - good items for decorating your home, and a ton of good gift ideas. Come check it out - we'd love to see you!!!!!!!!!!

Alex was finally baptized in December, with his godparents being our good family friends Fred and Fran Sutter. It was wonderful to have our family and friends together for the ceremony at our new church here in Canton. We had lunch at Papa Bear's afterward. Alex was pretty grumpy the whole day - we didn't get one photo of him smiling! After the water was poured on his head, they give you a towel to dry him off with. He promptly took the towel away from Allyson and started drying her hair with it! He squirmed and struggled through the rest of the ceremony, but made it through. Our whole family was welcomed in a nice new member service the Sunday following the baptism. Check out the Photo Pages for pics.
